The problem is not the lack of love. It is the lack of value.
After years of speaking with thousands of audiences around the world through the Dear Future Wifey platform, one truth became unmistakably clear.
People often choose relationships based on loneliness instead of purpose, chemistry instead of character, and attention instead of identity. ValU League was created to change that narrative. Rather than building another singles ministry, it was designed as a culture: a place where people intentionally develop spiritually, emotionally, mentally, financially, and relationally.

Laterras R. Whitfield started over after a divorce and decided to be honest about it in public. He launched Dear Future Wifey, a podcast written to a wife he hadn’t met yet, and stayed open about what he was working through. Six years of listening, praying, and building later, he answered the call the inbox kept asking for: a community where singles could learn, engage, grow, and maximize their season with purpose.
In November 2025 he married Ashley, and she joined him as co-host of the show and as the League’s Provost. Laterras teaches the League first at his own chapter at Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, the first official ValU League chapter, with other churches to follow. Together they built the program they wish they’d had, a real way to become the ValUdictorian of your life.
“ValU” represents Value and You. Because when you increase your value, everything connected to your life changes.
